‘Bob Sichinga is a frustrated opportunist’
BOB Sichinga is a frustrated opportunist and failed politician whose ranting should be ignored by Zambians, PF Lusaka Provincal Secretary Kennedy Kamba has charged.
Mr Kamba said Mr Sichinga who is a former Commerce Minister was bitter because he was rejected by Zambians after his attempt to ascend to the Presidency when President Michael Sata died.
He told the Daily Nation in an interview that the former Minister had no moral right to accuse the PF Government of having failed the people because he totally failed to deliver anything when he was given an opportunity to serve as a cabinet Minister apart from mere rhetoric.
Mr Kamba was reacting to a story in one of Zambia’s daily tabloids attributed to Mr Sichinga where he accused President Edgar Lungu and the PF Government of being corrupt.
Reacting to President Lungu’s speech on Friday in Parliament that the government had delivered to the Zambian people, Mr Sichinga said that was just a mere dream, charging that the PF Government had only delivered in their pockets and not to the Zambian people.
But Mr Kamba urged Zambians to ignore Mr Sichinga whom he described as a frustrated opportunist and failed politician.
“These are frustrated souls who wanted to ascend to the Presidency when President Michael Sata died but had nothing to offer,” Mr Kamba said.
He said despite having studied economics at universities, Mr Sichinga lamentably failed to deliver when he was given chance to serve as a minister.
He said Zambians were not dull, as they were able to make sound moral judgement on individuals like Mr Sichinga who was now supporting the opposition and wanted to claim righteousness or play smart.
Mr Kamba said President Lungu has worked extra hard to ensure that the PF manifesto, the dream and vision of Michael Sata was implemented fully as evidenced by massive infrastructure development across the country.
He said everybody was aware that Mr Sichinga belonged to the category of opportunists and recycled politicians who wanted to look relevant to people when elections were nearing.
Mr Kamba further said Mr Sichinga was just a frustrated soul who thought President Lungu would appoint him in his cabinet.
