UPND CHALLENGED TO ATTEND NATIONAL DAY PRAYERS

A FORMER UPND official has challenged it to allow it’ members to take part in the forth-coming National Day of Prayers, Fasting and Reconcilia­tion.

Fwanyanga Lutangu, the former UPND Livingston­e District Vice Chairman, urged the UPND leaders to attend the national event this Sunday.

He regretted that the UPND had been shunning the event, adding that the day was not a preserve of the PF, but for all Zambians.

Mr Fwanyanga said that national events such as National Day of Prayer, Independen­ce, Youth Day and others were not meant for a particular section of people or political party but for all citizens.

Meanwhile, former acting Livingston­e District Commission­er, James Zimba, urged residents in Libuyu not to repeat the mistake of voting for the opposition.
