CHIEF SALUTES GOVT OVER SOUTH NRCs ISSUANCE
ATRADITIONAL leader in Monze has commended Government for embarking on the mobile National Registration Cards (NRCs) issuance.
Chief Chona of speaking people the Tonga said the exercise wiould enable many people acquire the national identity cards in his chiefdom without hindrances.
He noted that a number of people including youths in his area such as Nadongo and Moomba faced challenges in accessing the national documents.
He was speaking when
Home Affairs Minister Stephen Kampyongo paid a courtesy call on him in his continued tour of the Southern Province to check on the mobile NRCs issuance.
The chief said that well-meaning Zambians should commend Government for the noble job aimed at giving eligible citizens the national document.
Chief Chona said the mobile issuance of NRCs was going on well in the district.
He added that traditional leaders would continue to ‘pester’ Government on many other developmental projects to improve people’s lives.
“I must commended government for this NRC mobile issuance which I believe would enable many of my people in areas such Nadongo and Moomba to have this important document,”said Chief Chona.
And Mr Kampyongo assured the chief of Government’s unwavering support to developmental projects and commitment to addressing myriad of challenges faced by people not only in Monze but across the country.
Meanwhile, Monze District Commissioner Munachoongo Muleya said it was cheap propaganda for some opposition political leaders to continue misleading the public that the mobile issuance exercise in the district was unsuccessful.
