Lungu hailed for sustaining Zambia’s freedom

HEALTH Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya has noted that Zambians should recognise the loyalty and determinat­ion of President Edgar Lungu towards sustaining the country's freedom as Zambia celebrates its 56th independen­ce anniversar­y.

Dr. Chilufya said Government has continued to strengthen the health systems in the country so that all citizens can remain healthy.

He said Government has come up with a number of empowermen­t programmes aimed at liberating its citizens from poverty. He was speaking when he officiated at this years' independen­ce day celebratio­n in Mansa yesterday.

Dr. Chilufya said as the country continues to pay tribute to the freedom fighters, the peace which the country enjoys should be guarded jealously. He disclosed that Government will continue to embrace and sustain the freedom which the country enjoys by continuing to put in place policies aimed at uplifting the living standards of the people.

sermon explained that it was God’s plan that Zambia should be there. He pointed out that Zambians should always be looking up to God at all times as he is the owner of everything.

Kambobe said Zambians should always be thanking the first Republican President Kenneth Kaunda for the slogan of “One Zambia, One Nation.”

He observed that the slogan has made the country to continue living in peace for the past 56 years.
