ENOUGH IS ENOUGH

- Dear Editor

WEwon’t sit any longer with our legs crossed, hands folded seeing lumpens insulting, demeaning and disrespecting President Edgar Lungu.

Pilato should know that if he continues singing and behaving in a manner that is highly disrespectful towards President Lungu then he should not be surprised if we force ourselves to be his dancing kings.

Pilato should know that one cannot run fast at the same time scratching his back, his actions today will surely meet up with desired consequences.

I want to appeal to the Patriotic Front national youth chairman Kelvin Sampa and all the 10 provincial youth chairpersons to sternly warn Pilato against his actions and behaviour towards President Edgar Lungu which is disrespectful before we jump the gun and face him head on.

Idi Amin once said and I quote “I can guarantee you Freedom of Speech or Expression but what I won’t guarantee is the freedom after that Freedom of Speech or Expression depending on how you use it.”

President Lungu has been the most insulted, abused, demeaned, disrespected and undermined President in the history of this nation by some misguided political elements who are clearly abusing freedom of speech or expression.

The fact that President Lungu has been relentlessly telling us to be peaceful and loving people does not mean we cannot rise up and defend him when attacked. , Pilato should know that we can easily fish him out wherever he thinks he is hiding and lecture him on the need to respect elders.

It’s actually against the norms and principles of our traditional values and set up to disrespect elders.
