Rangers dislodged Zanaco from second position on the MTN Super League table after beating Kabwe Warriors 1-0 in a week 25 fixture played yesterday at the Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Shadreck Malambo’s lone second half goal redeemed Forest Rangers from Thursday’s 1-0 defeat to Lumwana Radiants in Solwezi.

The win propelled Forest Rangers to 41 points, five points behind the league leaders, Zesco United who are on 46 points.

Meanwhile, Green Buffaloes escaped the relegation zone after collecting their second consecutive win, beating Buildcon 2-0 in an early kick off played at Levy Mwanawasa Stadium in Ndola.

Friday Samu was the hero of the day for Buffaloes as he scored one and created the other goal as the Zambia Army-sponsored outfit left Ndola with all the points.

Samu gave Buffaloes the lead with a great goal in the 62nd minute after benefitting from Paul Simpemba’s cross which found him unmarked before he slotted home from inside the 18-yard.

Samu turned from goal scorer to provider as he assisted substitute George Ngoma to double Buffaloes' advantage five minutes before the final whistle.

The win over Buildcon elevated Buffaloes to 13th position on the Super League table with 29 points.

At Edwin Imboela Stadium in Lusaka, the derby involving Nkwazi and Green Eagles saw Nkwazi flying high after stunning the Choma outfit 1-0 in a tightly contested fixture.

Erick Chomba was the difference as his 14th minute goal was all the Police sponsored side needed to overcome their rivals to move into sixth position with 36 points.

In Solwezi, Power Dynamos missed another opportunity to bounce back into the top four on the MTN Super League table after Lumwana Radiants came from behind to rescue a point following a 1-1 stalemate.

Patient Ikamba’s 55th minute goal cancelled Davy Daka’s five minute opener for the two sides to share the spoils.
