Dropped minister accepts fate

I RESPECT the party’s decision to drop me and I will not re-contest Isoka parliament­ary seat as an independen­t, Isoka Member of Parliament Malozo Sichone has said.

Mr Sichone said the leadership has decided and would not go against the decision.

“The party leadership has made its decision and as a loyal member of the PF I will respect the decision,” Mr Mr Sichone said.

He however said he will continue working with the party in ensuring that President Edgar Lungu and PF retains power on August 12, 2021.

Mr Sichone has thanked the people of Isoka for giving him an opportunit­y to serve as MP for the past 10 years.

He said he will be available for consultati­on when called upon.

“Our primary focus now is to ensure that we, PF and President Lungu retains power in the forthcomin­g general elections,” Mr Sichone said.

And Mr Sichone has thanked the civil servants in the province for support rendered to him during his tenure as MP and provincial minister.

Mr Sichone is one of the minister left out during the ongoing PF adoption process.

Other dropped are Commerce Minister Christophe­r Yaluma who been replaced with former Consular Robert Kalimi, Works and Supply Minister Silvia Chalikosa who has been replaced with PF Muchinga Province chairperso­n Francis Kapyanga and Northern Province minister Bwalya Chungu.

Mr Sichone has been replaced with Marjorie Nakaponda, a former diplomat, retired nurse and businesswo­man.
