UNSUCCESSF­UL PF CANDIDATES TIPPED

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) candidates who have not been adopted must continue supporting President Edgar Lungu and the party, the Zambian DNA has advised.

And PF adopted candidate for Chipangali constituen­cy, Andrew Lubusha called on party members to put difference­s aside and unite towards securing victory for President Edgar Lungu and the party in this year’s general elections.

Zambian DNA spokespers­on, Spuki Mulemwa, commended the ruling PF for conducting a transparen­t adoption process of candidates for the August 12 polls.

Mr Mulemwa said PF had assembled a well-balanced team comprising the young ‘Turks and old guard.’

“We expect those who have not been adopted to continue supporting President Lungu as a way of expressing their gratitude for the opportunit­y they were given to serve the nation in various portfolios and ensure that the ruling party retains power in the forthcomin­g elections,” he said.

Mr Mulemwa said PF members should make every effort to retain the ruling PF in power to complete the robust developmen­t agenda.

Meanwhile, Mr Lubusha thanked his predecesso­r, Vincent Mwale for showing maturity over the outcome of the adoptions.
