I WILL REMAIN LOYAL TO PF - KALIMA

- By ROGERS KALERO

THE loyalty of the genuine Patriotic Front (PF) members will be tested from their conduct after the adoption process, unsuccessful PF Ndola Central Constituency aspiring candidate Andrew Mustard Kalima has said

Mr Kalima said he will not go Independent, but support the party’s choice, Brenda Mwamba, and President Edgar Lungu in the August 12 elections to ensure victory for the ruling party.

Mr Kalima advised those that had gone Independent, not to be driven by emotions, but remain calm in order to quickly recover from their unsuccessful attempt.

“I am not going Independent but I will support the party’s candidate in the August 12 elections. This means I will campaign for her and President Lungu. There is no need to become disgruntled and do all sorts of things.

“It is during times like this

that our loyalty is tested. So genuine PF members will be tested from their conduct after the adoption process and during the campaigns ahead of the August 12 elections,’’ Mr Kalima said.

Mr Kalima urged the PF members to be vigilante and ensure that the opposition does not succeed in spreading fake news aimed at tarnishing the image of the ruling party and President Lungu.

He said the opposition was trying to ride on lies and fake promises to convince Zambians, but warned that such kind of campaign would not help them.

“The opposition want to ride on lies and fake news to mislead Zambians.

Instead of propaganda, they should prove they have the capacity to look after people in communities even before they can be elected MPs,” he said. He said the unemployment and bad state of the economy which the opposition UPND were talking about, was not only Zambian case, but was a challenge in many other countries.

Mr kalima said Zambians who travel to various countries were aware of the various challenges which the world economies were facing.

“In some countries, there is no economy to talk about. The situations are bad. The problem in Zambia is that we like to point accusing fingers at those in Government. We also need to change our work culture and attitude,” he added.
