- By ROGERS KALERO

Iwill lobby for funds to bring the much-needed development in Mufulira Central constituency and also embark on initiatives that will improve people’s lives, UPND parliamentary candidate Reagan Kashinga has said.

Mr Kashinga said he had embarked on door-to-door campaign so that he could convince the electorate to vote for him and President Hakahinde Hichilema as President on August 12 polls.

He was speaking during his door-to- door interaction with the residents of the constituency on the Copperbelt.

Mr Kashinga said he was a better candidate and promised the electorate that he would give them effective representation in parliament once voted as Mufulira Central MP.

“As UPND incoming MP for Mufulira Central Constituency, I have hit the ground and I am on my door to door campaigns. I am promising the people of Mufulira Central that I am a better candidate and I will represent them well.

“One of the my promises is that if elected MP, I will make sure that I lobby for funds from the government to bring much needed development in the constituency,’’ Mr Kashinga said.

Mr Kashinga was accompanied by UPND and NDC constituency officials, who included NDC Deputy party spokesperson Timar Thuli Shaba while Sandra Pafilwa was also part of the meetings.

Meanwhile, UPND Chingola Central Constituency parliamentary candidate,

Chipoka Mulenga, has urged all ward officials to take the message to the people on his plans for the constituency once voted in to office.

Mr Mulenga said his desire was to bring development to various parts of the constituency in road infrastructure and empowerment of youths through employment and youth entrepreneurship

During his visit to Mutenda, Munchinshi, Ipafu and Kalilo Wards of the constituency, Mr Mulenga said he would continue to visit all the 18 wards of the constituency

“Chingola Constituency has 18 wards and I have so far visited for wards which are Mutenda, Munchinshi, Ipafu and Kalilo Wards. I would like to urge all ward officials to explain to the people my desire to deliver development in the constituency,’’ Mr Mulenga said.

During the visitation, he donated assorted party regalia to the ward officials and urged them to keep the fire burning up to August 12, this year.
