West PF pledges support for Luo
THE Patriotic Front (PF) in Western Province has assured Presidential running mate Professor Nkandu Luo of total support as the nation goes to elections.
PF Western Province chairman, Glen Kalimbwe, said that the job in the province had been done because of the appropriate guidance from President
Edgar Lungu, and Vice- President Inonge Wina and other leaders.
Mr Kalimbwe said, because of that, the ruling party’s campaigns in the province have been made easy.
He said that important infrastructure that has been put up in the province is well appreciated by the people adding that most of the people long to see more development programmes.
Mr Kalimbwe was speaking during a meeting with Ms Wina and her entourage in Mongu yesterday.
“For myself as the leader of the party in the province
and my team, this campaign season is personal. We have to win this election not for ourselves but the women and children whose lives depend on government that values them more than politics.
“The old women and men that receive social cash transfer cannot be left alone, the districts that we have opened up is a project that cannot be abandoned for these reasons,” Mr Kalimbwe said.
He informed the Ms Wina the ground in Western Province was very fertile for the ruling party.
“To you professor, let me congratulate you on behalf of the party in the province. Your record speaks for itself, we have no doubt in your abilities.
“Between you and I, it is a fact that you have big shoes to fill up but, let me assure you that we shall be with you all the way through and together we shall walk this journey until we reach out goal,” he said.
