Lackson Nthani recognition cheers NGO

- By ANDREW MUKOMA

PROJECT Support Learners Zambia (PSLZ) has congratulated ZNBC’s Lackson Nthani for the recognition bestowed on him during this year’s African Freedom Day.

PSLZ Livingstone Coordinator, Nyambe Mutete, said that the recognition of Mr Nthani was a true reflection of his contribution to the journalism fraternity in the country and also to the growth of the nation’s tourism sector.

Mr Mutete observed that Mr Nthani deserved it because his work had always been there for people to see especially in the promotion of tourism.

“This year’s African freedom day recognitions and awards has been wide and deserves to be commended as compared to the previous years which were narrow.

“Our appeal as PSLZ is to see to it that the committee that has been instituted to award hardworking men and women of this country is to widen the recognitions to other sectors like the financial, and agriculture and to the political leaders who also played a pivotal in the development of our nation.

Mr Mutete was speaking in an interview with the Daily Nation in Livingstone in the aftermath of this year’s African Freedom Day.

He said that African Freedom Day should remind Zambias of the spirit of Ubuntu and One Zambia One Nation especially this year as the nation heads to the polls.

“We don’t need people to divide us on political lines or rather making rivals but cultivate the spirit of togetherness as brother’s keepers,” he said.
