PF IN L/STONE PREDICTS VICTORY

- By ANDREW MUKOMA

THEPatriotic Front (PF) stands a better chance of scooping the parliamentary, mayoral and a number of local government seats in Livingstone in this year's general elections.

Livingstone Constituency Youth Chairperson, Ikuka Muleta, this was so because the people in the tourist capital had realized that the PF Government transformed the city in terms of infrastructure development.

He said the ground was fertile for the ruling party compared to the previous elections when the opposition used to dominate.

Mr Muleta told the Daily Nation in Livingstone that residents had been misrepresented under the UPND led leadership at all levels.

“I can safely and proudly say; we (PF) are wining most of the wards this time around because over 12 wards out of 21 in the Constituency are dominated by us and we have gained popularity starting from the Presidency up to ward level," he said.

Mr Muleta said the ruling party had done its homework in all areas and was ready for polls.

"As a party in the constituency, we are have gone to the grassroots and we have also done our assessments so we know what we are talking about when we say we are winning," Mr Muleta said.

He added that people had appreciate that for meaningful development could only be achieved if they worked with the Government of the day.

And Mr Muleta has called on all political parties to follow the health guidelines regarding Covid-19 to avoid risking innocent citizens by holding public rallies.
