‘IT’S ALL HALLUCINATIONS’

FIGHT FOR HATEMBOS STILL ON - NAWAKWI

- By AARON CHIYANZO

EDITHNawakwi has rubbished claims that she has backtracked on her fight to rescue the Hatembo siblings who were abducted about four months ago.

Ms Nawakwi said the claims that she had fallen out favour of the PF were part on the UPND scheme to get away with the abduction of Pheluna and her brother Milton.

She urged the UPND to release the Hatembo siblings and to stop spreading unwarranted falsehoods against her. Ms Nawakwi said the fight for the plight of the abducted Hatembo siblings was still on and that the UPND would not have it easy to get away with the ‘alien’ act.

She said the misconduct of the UPND was a complete departure from the solemn disposition that the country was feeling.

Ms Nawakwi said she did not expect people vying for the republican Presidency to sit in a corner and start concocting ‘lies’.

“This shows how desperate the UPND are. This period of mourning for some of us who were personally impacted by the generosity of our departed First Republican President, Kenneth Kaunda are in deep reflection,” she said.

Ms Nawakwi said the UPND’s dwindling political fortunes would not be reversed any time of propaganda against her.

She warned UPND that the continued holding hostage of the Hatembo siblings which she said had caused deep misery to their family was a travesty of justice.

Ms Nawakwi said the creation of ‘lies’ during the period of mourning for the country would not yield anything.

She urged UPND to release the Hatembo siblings instead of playing around with propaganda.

“I want to tell them that each time am quiet, am reflecting. Sitting the farm be

long to the Hatembos should not make people feel rich.

“I thought this period when the country is mourning would have been an opportunity time for UPND to release the Hatembo siblings,” Ms Nawakwi said.
