Azam unveils ex-Zanaco star
FORMER Zanaco winger Charles Zulu has reunited with former Chipolopolo coach George Lwandamina after he was unveiled as a new signing for Tanzanian top side Azam FC coached by Lwandamina.
Zulu joins the former Zesco United gaffer from South African Premier Soccer League outfit Cape Town City where he spent a season.
Azam FC confirmed in a statement that Zulu has signed a two-year deal which will keep in Tanzania until July 2023.
"Done deal. We are happy to inform you that we have succeeded in capturing the signature of Zambian international striker Charles Zulu for two years contract from Cape Town City.
"We have signed him up after reaching an agreement with Cape Town City."
"Zulu, whose representative is Nir Karim will start serving Azam FC next season 2021/2022. Before landing in South Africa he was playing for Zambia and Zanaco FC," the club said in a statement.
The move to Azam has excited the 25-year-old former Zanaco FC winger who said he was ready for a new challenge in Tanzania.

Zulu also reunited with former Zambia Under-23 striker Obrey Chirwa who has been at Azam since 2018.
Azam FC are guaranteed of a top-four finish in the Tanzanian Vodacom Premier League to compete in the CAF Inter club championships.
