Zamtel dangles device loans to civil servants
A PARTNERSHIP that will allow public service workers to obtain a device loan has been signed between Zamtel and the Public Service Micro Finance Company.
The partnership also offers flexible payment terms which reduce financial stress and an extensive range of devices to pick from.
The device loan package will offer popular mobile phone handsets such as Samsung, Huawei, iPhone and tablets including Laptops with Zamtel MiFi or router with monthly data bundles.
Zamtel acting Chief Commercial Officer, Keith Banda, stated that the device loan initiative would empower the civil servants with affordable data enabled devices as well as affordable data and voice offers.
Mr Banda said Zamtel would continue exploring innovative approaches and partnerships in an effort to help Zambians harness the immense opportunities in the information and communication.
“We are happy to be extending this partnership with PSMFC to enable our friends across the civil service to get connected and access quality devices. As an indigenous digital services company, we are proud to be playing our part in accelerating digital inclusion,” Mr Banda said in a statement.
The device loan model brings affordability for all civil servants which will help them stay connected with family and friends.
Loan also comes with data and voice packages and allows the client to pay in installments ranging from 6 months to 36 months.
The device loan facility is available to all employees within the Zambian Civil Service and also within the Industrial Development Corporation Group of Companies.
