SUPPORT HH’S GROWTH AGENDA, ZAMBIANS URGED
GOVERNMENT’s resolve to ensure Zambians live in a prosperous and equitable society will reduce poverty levels, corporate executive Andrew Kalima has said.
Mr Kalima said in Ndola yesterday that it was most appreciated that the ‘new dawn’ Government was committed to reducing the unacceptably high poverty levels in the country.
He called on all stakeholders and the citizens in general to support new initiatives by the government aimed at turning around the economy.
Mr Kalima said Zambians must fully rally behind the Government’s vision to improve the socio-economic welfare of the country.
“The Government has demonstrated its will to reduce various forms of inequality and create a more equitable society.
“President Hakainde Hichilema assured this when he opened the National Assembly, under the theme “Creating a united, prosperous and equitable Zambia: Restoring economic growth and safeguarding livelihoods,” Mr Kalima, a financial expert said.
He praised the UPND for its mission to safeguard the livelihoods of the poor and vulnerable in society by pledging to offer equal opportunities for development to all our citizens.
“President Hichilema is committed to end the vicious cycle of poverty by ensuring that prosperity to all was a reality as the Government implements progressive policies to benefit the plight of Zambians,” he said.
Mr Kalima added that the appointment of Elisha Matambo as Copperbelt Minister was appropriate as he was equal to the task to address issues affecting the province.
