KAMFINSA MP TACKLES WATER BLUES
RESOLVING poor water reticulation in some parts of Kamfinsa constituency in Kitwe is one of the priority areas in the five-year term, Member of Parliament Christopher Kang'ombe has said
Mr Kang'ombe said he would do his best to resolve the problem in close collaboration with Nkana Water Supply and Sanitation Company (NWSSC).
He said he was hopeful that he would receive support from the residents in his efforts to deliver development
"On my own, I cannot fulfil my campaign promises, I need the support of the residents and other stakeholders like NWSSC. If we work together to address the problems of water reticulation, then it will be a great achievement for all of us.
"During my campaigns, I promised to work on the poor water reticulation especially in Ndeke Village hence I decided to familiarise myself so that we can see how we can proceed. Let us work together for the betterment of Kamfinsa constituency,'' Mr Kang'ombe said.
Last weekend, Mr Kang'ombe toured the Ndeke Village Mini Hospital and tasked the contractor to complete works on the maternity wing in the next four weeks.
He urged the Kitwe District Health Office to start sourcing and mobilising medical equipment to be installed at the maternity wing of the Ndeke Village Mini Hospital in readiness for its completion in the next four weeks.
Mr Kang'ombe also said his focus would be the establishment of a skills training centre in the constituency for short trade tested courses
He would work with the Kitwe City Council to identify land for the project and that he would link the graduates to industry for possible job and business opportunities.
"Every long journey starts with a single step and I can tell you that one of my focus areas as I begin my tour of duty as Kamfinsa MP is the establishment of a skill training centre for short trade tested courses.
