The Mufulira based team has received a sponsorship boost that will see them get a month ly allocation of the US$ 75000 from BolaBet.

Speaking at the unavailing which was graced by Mufuli ra Mayor Tanayeli Kamanga at Shinde Stadium, Bolabet gen eral manager Justin Palmer said his company is delighted to strike a deal with a team which has a great footballing history.

"This club has a rich history of 49 tittles since it was estab lished and has a huge fan base and huge history of most Zam bian players and as Bolabet we thought we could come on board with that little sponsor ship," Palmer said.

"The club is currently not doing well but hope with this $75,000 sponsorship for the next three years will yield the results."

He added that the company will also find a way to help spon sor the women's and some of the junior teams that the club has established.

"I am happy we have seen you have a women's team and other junior teams and going forward that will be looked at and for the team the sponsorship package can be increased if the club wins promotion or win any compe tition, the amount might rise to $100,000 or even more," he added.

The deal will see BolaBet tak ing the adverting rights on the back of the Mufulira Wander ers home and away jersey and some areas in the Shinde Stadi um pitch.

And Club president George Katongo thanked Bolabet for coming on board to sponsor the legendary club.

Katongo said Wanderers was not out of the race to win pro motion to the Super League af ter starting the national division one league on a poor note.

He said his executive is doing everything possible to inspire Mufulira Wanderers to rise de spite the numerous challenges facing the management of the club. He challenged Mighty fans who say bad things about the club to stop because bad pub licity deter sponsors from asso ciating with the club.

"I won't shy away from point ing out failures. We are not sit ting well on the league standing, we are down but not out and it is such gesture from Bolabet that gives us hope that we will do things right.

The team has been in the low er league for some quite time now and I can assure you that our quest and our desire is to make Mighty, Mighty again.

"To Bolabet, you have set the bar very high and as a club I can assure you that we will play our part hence appealing to you and other sponsors to get on board and help the team to grow and the task ahead of us is quite huge and we cannot manage alone but with partnerships like this, it's possible," he said.
