- By JOHN KOMBE

SOME Patriotic Front (PF) members have described Mr Chishimba Kambwili as a fearless character who can help to rebrand the party, stating that he has what it takes to revive the party.

Some PF members talked to said it needs a fearless and strong-willed person who cannot be easily shaken by the present circumstances.

Rufunsa PF chairperson, Emmanuel Tembo said the party president must be one who can command respect and support from the grassroots.

He said that Mr Kambwili was such a person and those who want to join the race were welcome. He however insisted that those with such ambitions must be ready to match the rare qualities which Mr Kambwili possesses. He said that the PF needs a person who can rebrand the party into a force to be reckoned with on the political scene.

Mr Tembo observed that being in opposition required people who were able to give checks and balances without fear of any form of intimidation. He said that the PF in Rufiunsa would therefore not shy away from supporting Mr Kambwili for the PF presidency because of his strong-will and fearless character.

And Lusaka Province youth information and publicity secretary, Jonas Luputa said that Mr Kambwili was the right man for the party president.

He said that the party needed to rebrand in the shortest possible time in readiness for the 2026 general elections.

Meanwhile, Chongwe PF chairperson, Charles Mumena said the party needs to urgently convene a convention or elect a president through the districts and provincial committees.
