Mwila tips CB residents

-

Mr Mwila was speaking yesterday at Nkana East Cemetery during the burial of a Kitwe businessman Richard Chileshe Mbulu popularly known as “Chile One, Bull Dog, Commander Chile or General.”

“Don’t believe in human beings because they can change. Believe in God. A good example to show you that human beings change is this one, A human being can promise to give you the Black Mountain during campaigns, but decides to place it in the hands of those who come from other parts of the country when voted for; leaving the youths he promised scavenging

“Another typical example that a human being changes in a split second is making promises to bring down prices of commodities when campaigning, only to make a U-turn when ushered into power. I therefore encourage you to believe in God and not man,’’ Mr Mwila said

He added,’’ A man can change, he can say when you vote for him, he will reduce the price of mealie meal to below K150, but after voting for him, he refuses that it is not what he said...umuntu, alachinja!,” he said

He said Mr Mbulu was given a lot of nick names, “commander and General” because they suited him well as he was a man for the people.

“The mammoth crowd that turned up during the funeral procession is a clear indication that he was man of the people. We used to call him commander, and General because he was a man for the people.

“People have turned out in numbers to send him off because he integrated well with the people on the Copperbelt. He also used to take good care of the people. We are feeling sad because he was loyal and committed to the party” Mr Mwila said.

He bemoaned the manner in which “Chile One” died, but meanwhile urged the family to embrace the children left behind, the same way it was when their father one was alive

And hundreds of chrome pickers yesterday abandoned their scavenging activities and joined thousands of mourners to give the last respect to Mr Mbulu.

Among those who attended the burial were senior PF officials like Raphael Nakacinda, Frank Ng’ambi, Christopher Kang’ombe, Chishimba Kambwili, former PF Copperbelt Chairman Stephen Kainga, district and constituency officials
