LEARN TO EMBRACE ALL, MUNDUBILE TIPS HH

- By GIDEON NYENDWA

PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema should find a place in his heart to truly forgive all people that might have offended him in the past, find some healing so that he can emerge as the father of the nation and begin to govern this country with love, leader of the opposition in Parliament Brian Mundubile, has said.

Mr Mundubile, who is also Mporokoso Central Member of Parliament said the President needs to find it within his conscience and his heart to forgive all the people he feels had done something bad to him or may have offended him.

Mr Mundubile said this when he featured on a live radio programme yesterday.

He said if people were to expect anything out of the UPND administration, the President must first find healing within himself by letting off the thing that he harbours in his heart.

Mr Mundubile said being a president, one must have a very big chest and a thick skin that was not overly sensitive to criticism.

He said if President Hichilema was overly sensitive to criticism he shall find it very difficult to govern.

Mr Mundubile said if someone forgives a person who wronged them it does not mean they would be held hostage and no longer speak when something was wrong.

“It doesn’t need to be like if they did something wrong tomorrow you must keep quiet simply because they forgave you, no!” he said.

He said that Mr Hichilema would not be the first one to forgive people who offended them in the past, President Michael Sata and Edgar Lungu did it and moved on but the same people they forgave kept on criticising them.

Mr Mundubile said Mr Lungu was called names like “Koswe and Mwankole” by UPND cadres including Mr Hichilema himself but he never went for those people because he knew he had a duty towards the Zambians.

He said there were so many people who were being picked up for calling the president names, a thing that could be avoided if he became less sensitive to criticism and developed a thick skin.
