‘AUTO’ DOMINATE OFF SEASON FUTSAL TOURNEY

FOOTBALL Associatio­n of Zambia (FAZ) Premier Futsal League champions Lusaka Automotive Futsal club have continued to dominate the off season futsal championsh­ip after thumping Chipata Boys 15-1 in their third Group A fixture played at Automotive Indo Futsal Arena.

After starting the tournament with a 2-0 win over Mudi Stars in a tightly contested fixture, Automotive whitewashe­d George FC 10-0 before beating Chipata Boys to move to the summit of the group with nine points.

Chipata Boys and Mudi Stars are second and third in Group A with three points each after their respective wins over George

FC and Jokers.

Automotive’s next fixture is scheduled for Saturday against Jokers who will today face George FC who will be aiming to put their 10-0 defeat to Auto behind.

Jokers FC will also fight to redeem themselves after “donating” three points to Mudi Stars on Sunday following a 6-0 walkover defeat to Mudi Stars.

Meanwhile, Mudi Stars will tomorrow play hosts to Group A rivals Black Diamonds while Lusaka Avengers will seek redemption when they face Group B rivals BS Stars after the 5-2 bashing by Kakabalika in their last fixture.

Like the Easter Futsal tournament which was won by Warriors Futsal Club who defeated The Boys in the finals, the June off season tournament is being used to identify teams that can join the Premier Futsal League.

Winners of the preseason tournament will pocket a K10, 000 cash prize while the losing finalist will walk away with a K5, 000.
