…Red Arrows buy six Crocs from Kafue Celtics

ZAMBIA’s envoys in the CAF Champions League Red Arrows have announced the signing of six relegated Kafue Celtics stars who were impressive during the 2022/2022 MTN/FAZ Super League season.

The Zambian champions signed strikers Albert Kangwanda, Brian Chilimina, Peter Chikola and defenders Richard Daka and Thomas Zulu who have signed two-year loan deals from Celtics.

The Airmen have also completed the permanent signing of Zambian I-internatio­nal left full back Prosper Chiluya from Kafue Celtics.

Chiluya continues his journey at Nkoloma Stadium after helping the Airmen to win the Super Division during his oneyear loan spell at Arrows.

Arrows are also said to be interested in the 2020 Under-20 Africa Cup winner Conlyde “The Golden Boy” Luchanga who is said to have dumped Prison Leopards for the midlands giants.

The Airmen could however not confirm signing Luchanga but noted that the club was still holding talks with more potential signings.

“Other transfers both on and off Social Media may not be confirmed now because discussion­s are not yet concluded.

“We are still in the proposing stage not until they say ‘I do’ then we will be better placed to confirm,” the club said.

Meanwhile, Zesco United have acquired the services of Ugandan internatio­nal attacking midfielder, Kezironi Kizito from Buildcon FC.

The Ndola giants confirmed that the 25-yearold has signed a two-year contract subject to completing medicals.

In an interview with the club’s media, Kizito said he was honoured and excited to join the “biggest team in the land.”

“It is a great opportunit­y and great platform for me, my career and my family,” Kizito said.

“I am very read for the challenge because I know what it means to play for the biggest club in the country. I am ready to overcome any challenges.”

Kizito who became Zesco’s third signing after team mate ar Buildcon odrick Khembo and Chipyoka Songa said he was looking forward to help Zesco United challenge for the CAF Confederat­ions Cup.
