FUTSAL: Kafue Saints gift Buffaloes first defeat

- By MICHAEL MIYOBA

GREEN Buffaloes missed a chance to open a fivepoint’s lead at the summit of the Football Association of Zambia Premier Futsal League FAZ/PFL table after losing 4-3 to Kafue Saints in a Week-5 fixture played on Thursday night at Automotive Indoor Futsal Arena.

It was a great comeback for Kafue Saints who were determined to bounce back from last week’s 4-2 defeat to Kitwe Bullets.

Despite the loss Buffaloes maintained top spot on the Futsal League table with 12 points on par with Saints who moved to second position after Thursday’s win.

FAZ/PFA action continues today with Lusaka Avengers seeking to maintain their winning run after beating Mudi Stars 5-3 in their previous fixture.

Avengers will face Chipata Boys who are aiming to pick their third win of the season after last weekend 7-6 beating of Siavonga Beetles.

Beetles who are yet to record any win after four games played will seek their first set of three points when they take on fourth placed Kitwe Bullets.

Bullets are focused to maintain their unbeaten record after picking three wins and one stalemate from the first four matches.

Struggling Monze George who are yet to record any win and occupy 11th position with no point will face defending champions Automotive FC while newcomers

Warriors FC and Mudi Stars will launch their rivalry in their first FAZ/PFL clash at Automotive Futsal Arena.
