Take advantage of business opportunities being created by HH, businesses urged
TAKE advantage of business opportunities being created by President Hakainde Hichilema and start making investments, financial analyst Naylor Kopakopa has advised the business sector.
Mr Kopakopa said there was need for Zambian business men and women to take advantage of the business opportunities that had been created by the president’s trips abroad and use them to the great benefit of the country’s economy.
He said there were many opportunities that had been created that if taken seriously would greatly benefit the Zambian business community.
Mr Kopakopa cited an example of the exports of avocado where markets have opened up in various African countries as well as in Europe.
He said there was need for Zambian businesses to cease such opportunities and attain maximum profit from them.
Mr Kopakopa said the development further called for more Zambians to take advantage of the opportunity to join avocado farming in order to keep up with the market demand of the commodity.
He further highlighted that exporting of finished products in form of avocado oil to European countries would give avocado farmers and cooperatives opportunity to expand and invest in equipment to use in oil processing.
And Mr Kopakopa called on small businesses to take advantage of the increased allocation of the Constituency Development funds (CDF) and ensure that they benefit through various empowerment schemes.
He said the government had done its best to create opportunities and a good environment which businesses were supposed to make use of and bring economic growth.
