Take advantage of business opportunities being created businesses urged
THE business sector should take advantage of the business opportunities the new dawn administration under President Hakainde Hichilema is creating and expand their businesses, financial analyst Naylor Kopakopa has said.
Mr Kopakopa said there was need for Zambian business men and women to take advantage of the business opportunities that had been created by President Hichilema who was doing everything to market Zambia as the best investment destination.
He said President Hichilema had been travelling and wooing foreign businesses to come and partner with Zambian businesses in an effort to expand the private sector and create employment for citizens.
“There are many opportunities that have been created that if taken seriously would greatly benefit the Zambian business sector. President Hichilema has made himself the chief marketing officer for Zambia. Each time he has travelled out, he has made sure that he engages with businessmen and women and encourages them to come and invest in the country in partnership with Zambian businesses, Mr Kopakopa said.
Mr Kopakopa cited an example of the exports of avocado where markets had opened up in various African countries as well as in Europe.
“There is need for Zambian businesses to seize such opportunities and attain maximum profit from the export of avocados. There is market for avocados both within Africa and Europe. Let Zambian businesses take advantage of the attractive investment environment” he said
Mr Kopakopa called for more Zambians to take advantage of the opportunity to join avocado farming to keep up with the market demand of the commodity.
