CHINA HAILS DEEPENED FRIENDSHIP WITH ZAMBIA
…as Chinese envoy Xiaohui Du pledges not to interfere with internal affairs
CHINESE Ambassador to Zambia, Xiaohui Du has said in the Chinese government intends to strengthen cooperation with Zambia in education, science and technology in the next twenty years.
Mr Du said his government will in the same period strengthen exchanges with Zambia in particular at all levels, to deepen the traditional friendship and political mutual trust.
THE Chinese envoy said China and Zambia had always treated each other as equals with sincerity, friendship, mutual benefit, and win-win results.
Speaking at a press briefing in Lusaka yesterday, Mr Du said China would therefore advance cooperation to the benefit of the people of the two countries in education, science and technology as these are strategic pillars for building modern countries in all respects.
Mr Du said working with the Zambian government, China will coordinate development strategies especially taking into consideration strides scored in the last five years.
He said an international footprint had been expanded, as such, the next 27 years phase of development was underway which would be realized in all sectors across the country and world at large.
Mr Du said his country would move faster to build world hubs for talent and innovation, promote distribution and balanced development across regions, as well as strive to build up its comparative strengths in global competition for talent.
Meanwhile, Mr Du said his country was committed to upholding world peace and promoting common development, re-echoing remarks by China’s President Xi Jinping at the opening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China.
