Avengers seek redemption

THE Football Associatio­n of Zambia Premier Futsal League FAZ/PFL enters week8 with Kafue Saints and Lusaka Avengers seeking redemption when they face off in today’s fixture at the Automotive Indoor Futsal Arena.

While Kafue Saints will be seeking to bounce back from the 4-3 defeat to Lusaka Automotive, Avengers will aim to recover from the humiliatin­g 6-3 loss to Siavonga Beetles in their previous fixture.

Both Avengers and Saints are winless in the last two games were they also recorded defeats to Kitwe Bullets and Siavonga Beetles respective­ly.

Meanwhile, after dropping points following last weekend 5-3 defeat to Kitwe Bullets, Warriors FC will seek redemption when they take on rejuvenate­d Siavonga Beetles who are unbeaten in the last two games in which they managed to beat Avengers and Saints.

Kitwe Bullets will fight to protect their unbeaten run when they take on CSS Petauke who are from enjoying a 4-0 win over Chipata Boys.

Chipata Boys will seek redemption when they host Monze George who are aiming to recover from last weekend’s 4-3 defeat to MUDI Stars.

MUDI Stars and Green Buffaloes will lock horns in another intriguing fixture which announces the birth of a new rivalry between the two sides.

Meanwhile, defending champions Lusaka Automotive opened a three-point lead at the summit of the FAZ/PFL table after humiliatin­g BS Stars 9-1 in a week-8 fixture played on Thursday at Automotive Indoor Futsal Arena.

The win over BS Stars propelled Auto to 22 points, three points ahead of second placed Kitwe Bullets who must win today’s fixture against Petauke to catch-up.
