ZAMBIA Development Agency (ZDA) will anchor its investment opportunities programme on green industrialisation, digitalisation and infrastructure development in line with recommendations of the 28th Intergovernmental Committee of Senior Officials and Experts (ICSOE).
And the agency has described the 28th edition of the ICSOE of Southern African region as a success as it was able to tackle pertinent issues on green industrialisation, digitalisation and infrastructure development.
This will enhance economic growth, create jobs and contribute to infrastructure development, ZDA director -enterprise development Gabriel
Musentekwa said in Maputo, Mozambique.
“From the ZDA point of view we are looking in terms of how we bring in investment that would anchor actually on digitalisation but not only investment for large companies but look at the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs),” Mr Musentekwa said.
He said the ZDA would ensure that the MSMEs take part in green industrialisation initiatives for the growth of the sector.
On regional integration, Mr Musentekwa indicated that agency was looking at how to enhance its Non-Traditional Exports to the region and globally.
“It has been a good meeting which would help us anchor on a number of programmes that are coming out from the recommendations and as ZDA we are happy and we will go ahead to see what can be done to develop our nation,” he said.
He said the theme of the meeting was “Greening industrialisation in Southern Africa through Digitization, Infrastructure development and regional integration: leveraging AfCFTA implementation” was very timely.
