BUFFALOES PUNISH AVENGERS …as Kitwe Bullets seek solace after defeat to ‘Auto’

GREEN Buffaloes maintained third position on the Football Association of Zambia Premier Futsal League (FAZ/PFL) table after shocking Lusaka Avengers 4-1 in a Week 12 fixture at the Automotive Indoor Futsal Arena.

The consecutive win after last weekend’s 6-2 beating of Siavonga Beetles propelled Buffaloes to 24 points, four points behind second-placed Kitwe Bullets who are on 28 points.

Bullets will aim to reclaim their seven-point lead over Buffaloes as they seek to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to defending champions Automotive when they face BS Stars in today’s fixture at the Futsal Arena.

Bullets had enjoyed nine wins and one draw before recording their first loss of the season and will seek to punish BS Stars who were rejuvenated by their 8-4 victory over Chipata Boys last weekend.

Bullets coach Witson Nyirenda is not worried going into today’s fixture after a disappointing defeat to Automotive.

“We are looking forward to this weekend’s fixture. We have worked on the mistakes we made in the game against Automotive and our aim is to bounce back with a win to maintain our spot on the FAZ/PFL table,” Nyirenda said.

Meanwhile, after stunning MUDI Stars 2-1 last weekend, Kafue Saints will take on CSS Petauke who are seeking to recover from losing to Warriors in their quest for a fourth win of the season.

Fourth-placed Warriors FC will take on struggling Monze George who anchor the FAZ/PFL table with three points from 10 defeats and one win.

Defending champions Automotive Futsal Academy will welcome Siavonga Beetles who are aiming to bounce back from last weekend’s defeat to Green Buffaloes.

Motivated by their win over their rivals Kitwe Bullets in last weekend’s fixture, Auto will fight for a win to maintain their three-point lead at the summit of the FAZ/PFL table where they sit on 31 points.
