UPND BENEFITTING FROM PF ACHIEVEMENTS - FUBE

- By NOEL IYOMBWA

IT is an insult for the United Party for National Development (UPND) to claim that the Patriotic Front (PF) did nothing during their tenure in office when the governing party has continued commissioning some of the infrastructure projects that were initiated and implemented by the former ruling party, Chilubi Member of Parliament Fube Mulenga has said.

Speaking on Live Issues on Live Radio, Mr Mulenga said that the former ruling party had embarked on infrastructure development which the new dawn government is benefitting and using.

He said that it was not right for President Hakainde Hichilema to be recommissioning projects that were already commissioned by former President Edgar Lungu.

Mr Mulenga stated that people were angry and disappointed that the new dawn government had failed to fulfill its promises that included the reduction in the cost of mealie and fuel among others.

He said that the UPND made a lot of promises to the people which they were failing to commit adding that as a result people have abandoned them.

Mr Mulenga expressed disappointment that the PF was criticised over the Lusaka Ndola dual carriage way but that the UPND deal over the same road was beyond what the former ruling party wanted to spend.

"When we announced about this project we were accused of corruption but their deal over the same road is beyond. The party has lost people who voted because of the lies, cadres are hungry while them are eating and giving each privilege. People will regret for voting for the UPND,” Mr Mulenga said.
