GSB Cup prizes increased

GAL Sport Betting – Zambia have increased the prizes for the inaugural GSB Cup organised by the Football Association of Zambia (FAZ) provincial administration on the Copperbelt.

FAZ Copperbelt Provincial Association General Secretary Nelly Miamba confirmed that Gal Sports Betting who had invested K350, 000 in the provincial championship had added K50, 000 to the prizes.

Miamba said the champions in the men’s category would walk away with K22, 000 from the K18, 000 which was initially planned for the winners while the first prize in the women’s category has been increased from K12, 000 to K15, 000.

“They have added another 50 on the main prize. So, we are going to see the winner going away with K22, 000 second prize on the men’s side will go away with K15,000 and the third prize will be K11, 000 and the fourth prize is going to be K9, 000,” Miamba Said.

“For the women the prizes have also gone up. The sponsors are very excited with how we have managed this event. It’s the first of its kind and for the women the first prize is going to be K18, 000, the second is going to walk away with K11, 000, the third will walk away with K9, 000 and the fourth will walk away with K8, 000 and we have individual prizes,” she said.

Miamba hailed Gal Sports and other sponsors, like Vital and Symenz for coming on board to provide other forms of support.

In the finals of the GSB Cup, Roan United will take on Zambezi Portland while the third and Fourth playoff will see Chingola Leopards play Nkumbu FC.

In the Women’s championship, Nkana Queens will date Super Stars Queens in the final while Chalube Angels have a date with Konkola Blades Queens in the third and fourth playoff.

The top scorer of the tournament will pocket K3, 500 and K3, 000 from the men’s and wome’s category while the best players from the two categories will walk away with K2, 500 respectively.

Best referee and best assistant referee will be rewarded with 25000 and 1500 respectively.
