NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND SURROUNDING COMMUNITIES

LUSAKA SOUTH MULTI-FACILITY ECONOMIC ZONE LIMITED

The Lusaka South Multi Facility Economic Zone Limited (LS MFEZ Ltd) is a state-owned economic zone designated as such in 2010, with the mandate to manage, develop and operate the Lusaka South MFEZ. As such the Management of the Zone have been tirelessly working towards ensuring that investor activity is at its peak. Currently, traffic at the Zone has accelerated and so has construction activities. The Zone has so far onboarded a total of 91 investors out of which 22 are operational and 28 are at construction phase, with most of these onboarded in the last 30 months.

We, therefore, would like to inform members of the public and surrounding communities of the heightened construction activities within the Economic Zone which include;

• Earth works

• Construction traffic • Controlled Rock blasting • Noise from the blastings

Due to the many activities several contractors are on the ground, either engaged by LS MFEZ or private investors. Contractors have been directed to take necessary safety precautions, however, in the likely event that members of the public are affected in any way by the construction works, kindly inform our offices so we may relay your concerns to the contractors on the ground.
