PARLIAMENTARY COMMITTEE TOUR UPDATE
I AM delighted to share an exciting update with you regarding my current activities as a Member of Parliament and as a member of the esteemed parliamentary Committee for Transport, Works and Supply
Since Monday, May 22, our committee embarked on a transformative journey across the Eastern, Copperbelt, Northern, and Lusaka provinces and the tour shall run up to 31st May 31, 2023.
Our primary objective is to gain firsthand knowledge and appreciation of the infrastructure development initiatives and airports in these regions.
As you may already know, the National Assembly duties are divided into main sittings and committees. Committees play a crucial role in facilitating the effective delivery of our responsibilities as parliamentarians.
They provide a platform for detailed examination, scrutiny, and evaluation of matters falling within their respective mandates.
During our tour, we have been engaging with key stakeholders, local authorities, experts, and community members to better understand the state of our infrastructure and airports.
By interacting with those directly involved in these sectors, we aim to gather valuable insights, identify challenges, and explore potential opportunities for improvement.
This tour serves as an invaluable opportunity for us to assess the effectiveness of existing infrastructure, identify areas for enhancement, and gather inputs to shape policies that will contribute to the development of our transport, works, and supply sectors.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue our tour and explore the tremendous potential our provinces have to offer.
Inungi.
