UPND regime a failed experiment - Imboela

NATIONAL Democratic Congress (NDC) President, Saboi Imboela says the UPND regime is has become a failed experiment aginst Zambians because nothing has come out of it apart from devastating hunger, poverty and disease.

Mr Imboela says the new dawn administration is the most unserious government ever to govern Zambia because nothing has been working for the good of the citizens.

Ms Imboela said the government was lacking seriousness and their planning on improving the economic situation was very poor because nothing had changed in the last two and half years they had been in power following their landslide viCtory over the Ptriotic Front (PF). She said Zambians had been subjected to the worst form of economic hardships under the UPND and that there was no hope that things would improve for the better for many Zambians who were now failing to meet their daily basic needs.

Ms Imboela said while the UPND had continued with self-praise on what they believe had achieved, Zambians were still wallowing in poverty with high cost of living as a result of ever-increasing prices of basic needs such as mealie meal.

She said the government had no heart for Zambians and that citizens were feeling pain of the economic policies being pursued by the UPND. She stated that before government could prioritise the social sectors such as education and health, which were also very important, there needs to come up with a plan on how best to improve the economic sector and invest more into the social sectors.
