Musoma urges UPND ministers, MPs to join UKA

…claims the governing party is most unlikely to retain power in 2026

- By NATION REPORTER

WRIGHT Musoma is advising the UPND officials including government Ministers to move silently and begin to join the new United Kwacha Alliance because according to him, the alliance shall form government in 2026 as there is no chance in hell that President Hakainde Hichilema is going to retain the presidency.

Mr Musoma, the president of the Zambia Republican Party (ZRP) says he has been in all parts of the country and the cry of Zambians has been a united opposition that would emancipate citizens from the claws of poverty, hunger and general deprivation.

Mr Musoma said in an interview that his party had decided to join the UKA with a strong belief that the alliance was destined to form government because Zambians had given up on the UPND and President Hichilema.

He claimed that some UPND high-ranking officials whom he did not want to mention had already approached UKA with the desire of being party of the movement because they were as certain that the UPND was gone and was only visible because of its incumbency.

“Nearly everywhere I have been in this country, the cry of Zambians has been a united opposition and with the birth of the United Kwacha Alliance, citizens should be relieved that they have a group of fellow citizens who have staked their lives to serve the country. I must commend Harry Kalaba, the leader of Citizens First (CF), Saboi Imboela, the president of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jackson Silavwe, the president of GPZ Chishala Kateka, the leader of the New Heritage Party (NHP) and Sakwiba Sikota SC for pioneering the UKA and I am delightedly joining for the national cause,” Mr Musoma said.

He said Zambians were severely suffering and that there was nothing the UPND was going to do to change the minds of the majority citizens who felt they had been let down by President Hichilema.

I urge the Ministers and MPs from the UPND to begin joining the UKA secretly. I know some who have already joined and I do not want to mention their names. Let them come and at the right time, they will have to officially renounce their membership with ruling party to join the alliance,” Mr Musoma said.
