UPND SHOCKS PF

-

“However, what is evil is that the UPND proceeded to persecute and prosecute Mr Kambwili on the same remarks they had sent him to issue. They (UPND) remained evil in their agenda to the extent of jailing Mr Kambwili whom they are claiming was their decoy to bring down President Lungu. They have continued to remain evil to the extent that they have appealed against Mr Kambwili’s sentence because they want a stiffer punishment against him,” Mr Mwamba said.

He said the evil agenda Mr Mweetwa revealed yesterday was extremely dangerous for the country, stating that it had exposed the ruling party desperation to the extent that they could break the law to win the 2021 general elections.

Mr Mwamba said what was even more evil was that the UPND government had appealed Mr Kambwili’s jail sentence in demanding a stiffer punishment on a man they had deployed to bring down former President Lungu.

He said evil that had been exhibited by the UPND demonstrates the extent to which the ruling party was willing to go to win national elections, including dividing the country and plunging it into ethnic conflict.

“Sadly, the UPND has relentlessly pursued Hon. Chishimba Kambwili, despite him being their alleged deployee, by prosecuting him, jailing him and even appealing against the decision of the Kasama Court to punish him with five months’ imprisonment. As if this is not enough, they have even appealed against the sentence, which they deem was a light sentence,” Mr Mwamba said.

Yesterday, Cornelius Mweetwa claimed that the UPND in opposition had planted Mr Kambwili as a mole in the PF then in government to bring down President Edgar Lungu. Mr Mweetwa, the Information and Media Minister is claiming that Mr Kambwili, who is now ailing and has since been evacuated to South Africa for specialised medical treatment was sent to the PF by the UPND in opposition to destroy former President Lungu through hate speech against President Hakainde Hichilema.

According to Mr Mweetwa, Mr Kambwili’s assignment was to spew hate speech and tribal remarks against the UPND so as to annoy Zambians so that they could vote the former President out.
