ZNBS reopens refurbished Mufulira branch
IN its effort to expand financial services and mortgage provision to meet the housing deficit in the country, the Zambia National Building Society (ZNBS) has reopened its refurbished branch in Mufulira.
The branch is designed to meet the increasing demands and expectations of our customers and is supported by the recent enhancements in our digital footprint.
This is according to the ZNBS Board Chairperson, David Nama, at the launch of the newly refurbished branch on Tuesday in Mufulira.
“We remain committed to fulfilling our mandate which is “To be the leading mortgage finance institution with excellent financial services in Zambia.” This entails not only focusing on enabling more Zambians to own houses but also providing affordable housing finance and banking services.
“The launch of this Mufulira branch reinforces our continued dedication to improving our customers’ experience through the enhanced physical ambience of our branches,” Dr Nama said.
He also pointed out that ZNBS had in recent years repositioned itself to meet technological demands through Online, Point of Sale and Agency Banking to promote cashless transactions.
ZNBS, he explained, seek to continuously improve its services to remain competitive in an increasingly digital led financial market by investing in sustainable technologies.
At the same function, ZNBS Managing Director, Mildred Mutesa, observed that it had over the years rendered financial support to not only major capital projects through the provision of loans to parastatals and other companies both in urban and rural areas.
Ms Mutesa explained that ZNBS has also supported activities that were of great importance such as the various expositions aimed at driving the country’s economic activities.
“We look forward to collaborating further in areas of mutual interest such as the enhanced CDF loan disbursements, financial literacy programs and environmental conservation,” she said.
Meanwhile, Mufulira Mayor, Tanaeli Kamanga, commended the society for its commitments and effort in reducing the housing deficit in Zambia.
This, Mr Kamanga said, complemented the measures that the government had taken to ensure that every citizen had access to land.
“I charge the Board and Management of the Society to ensure that even as we open the doors to this newly refurbished branch today, the Society delivers on its commitment to offer innovative products that will help our people develop.
“It is therefore expected to offer more quality and affordable Mortgages and deliver a return for the shareholder on behalf of the Zambian people,” Mr Kamanga said.
