MANYINGA COUNCIL INVESTS IN FISH FARMING Submersibl­e Pump sets

PUMPSTHE Local Authority in Manyinga District of North-western RELIABLE Province has invested about K250, 000 in a fish farming project in an effort to enhance the revenue base in the district.

The funds have been sourced from the council’s own generated revenue, a developmen­t which has enabled the local Authority to procure 22,000 fingerling­s to kick start the project in the first phase.

“We are happy that our local Council has started fish farming which makes our business easy and more profitable for us local fish traders,” he said.

Mr. Makayi said locally procured fish will retain the nutrition value and boost business for the local fish traders.
