Let’s use freedom of expression sensibly

- COLLINS TEMBO, Kalulushi.

Dear Mr. Editor, I THINK that freedom of expression should be within human sensibility and not in a manner of insulting.

No one human being can build a nation alone. We must understand that as human beings when we speak, we speak as a whole.

We all must be mature enough to understand political rhetoric and at times we must understand that English is not our mother tongue and we say certain things loosely so to speak.

The economic challenges we are facing are self-inflicted because of the love of money.

We all must remember that money is never enough.

Now, who are these people delaying in signing. Remember that we had to give Mufulira Mine to finish off certain payments during Kaunda’s time.

We must always borrow with care.

Also remember that Kaunda was given pamphlets to read.

Only that Kaunda insisted on humanism. Of course, humanism was a failure as it failed in the first century in Greece.

Zambia is the only country we have and we must all, at all times not to be excited with money.

Money is not everything, but just a medium of exchange.

We have Zambia; The great unitary state no matter what selfish people would say, we have to protect her at all cost.

Let us work together to grow our economy. Remember that where State House is was Chief Lusaka's palace. How wonderful that Chief Lusaka annulled self for the unitary state of Zambia.

Visitors will always be visitors and they appear so. Should we wonder how State companies were divided and intrinsically failed?

How did the mine union in the 1940s fail?

That same sense of selfishness and putting one's language to be more important than others has destroyed many nations, regions and individuals.

Together we are stronger than anything.
