Monze Central nods K4m projects under CDF
MONZE Central Constituency has announced implementation of Constituency Development Fund funded projects worth over K4 million, with priority sectors given to education and infrastructure development.
Several tenders have been awarded for the completion of classrooms, mechanising boreholes, and supplying school desks, according to the Monze Town Council Public Relations Officer, Kanchele Kanchele.
Mr Kanchele said Namuseba Primary School was set to benefit from a 1 x 3 classroom block, as the tender for its completion had been awarded to Banjitech Investment Limited.
He explained that the project, with a budget of K623, 492.00, was expected to alleviate the overcrowding challenges faced by students at the school.
“Another primary school in the constituency, Kazungula Primary School, will also have a new 1 x 3 classroom block.
“Shacajo Investments Limited has won the tender for this project, with a budget of K312, 600.00. The additional classrooms will
create a conducive learning environment for the students,” Mr Kanchele said in a statement.
He also indicated that the constituency had awarded tenders for mechanising boreholes in a bid to improve access to clean water in various areas.
Geocorp Water Solutions has been tasked to handle Lot 1, which included boreholes at Mundale Market, Singonya Primary and Sitemba Primary School.
Acording to Mr Kanchele, the total budget allocated for this lot was K359, 928.80. “Jovit General Dealers will take charge of
Lot 2, involving boreholes at Mulumbwa Primary, Rusangu Primary and Hatontola School with a budget of 360, 000.00 ZMW. Adira Enterprises Limited has been assigned Lot 3, covering boreholes at Katimba Primary, Tandabale Market, and Bbombo Primary School, with a budget of K360, 000.00.
“Cromic Enterprises Limited has secured Lot 4, encompassing boreholes at Chilala Community School, Choobana Primary, and Monze East Primary School. The budget allocated for this lot is also K360, 000.00,” he said.
