Govt. disburses chemical pesticide control for Army Worms in Mkushi
GOVERNMENT has disbursed quantities of chemical pesticide in response to Fall Army Worm pest attacks on maize crops in Mkushi District.
Mkushi’s Acting District Agricultural Coordinating Officer(DACO), dustrial Area, Patrick Opposite Mutale confirmed A.P.G this development Milling, to Lusaka, Zambia, Email: info@uci.co.zm ZANIS, saying that his office has received 500 liters of Emalectine LE & BOOSTER PUMPS Benzoic chemical pesticide for spraying against these pests.

TRUSTED RELIABLE farmer households based in the 35 agricultural camps have been affected since the beginning of this year.
He said that although his office is making frantic efforts in compiling the affected hectares, the dry weather pattern as well as high temperatures cause the increased rate of multiplying and invasion by these pests.
He cited Lweo Agricultural Block as having the highest number of affected farmer households from amongst the 7 agricultural blocks, adding that Mubalashi block has the least number of affected farmers.
