GILBERT PHIRI MUST RESIGN

-

“If the so called Mr Ground (Victor Kapungwe) disclosures that Mr Sampa has been a UPND project, then Mr Phiri, the DPP has become a lame duck. Miles was expressly assisted by the State to commit a number of illegalities and the change of the names of the office bearers at the Registrar of Societies is one such an illegality for which Mr Sampa should have been prosecuted. But Gilbert Phiri, the DPP refused. The conduct of Mr Phiri since his appointment as DPP has shown that he has become a cadre-branch of the UPND and his position as DPP has become untenable and must therefore resign,” Mr Changala said.

He stated that if the revelations that Mr Sampa was working with the UPND to steal, destroy and annihilate the PF, the country’s largest opposition political party were true, Mr Phiri as DPP had become too tainted to continue being in office.

“By refusing to prosecute Mr Sampa for fraud and impersonation, the DPP himself had become a participant in the fraud schemes to steal and kill the PF. The DPP, who is my friend and my former lawyer must therefore be reminded if he is going to resist to vacate his office, the same wheels of justice will catch up with him soon rather than later. Every citizen, including the Law Association of Zambia believe that Mr Phiri has brought dishonour and disrepute to the office of the DPP,” Mr Changala said.

He said he was aware that the State was after “Mr Ground” and his friend, Chama Amelica and nhad started intimidating the two by summoning them to the police so that they could be silenced.

Mr Changasla said he was aware that “Mr Ground” had been summoned to Woodlands police station so that he could be intimidated and prevented from exposing the involvement of the UPND in the PF confusion.

“My advice is that Mr Sampa and the State should stay away from “Mr Ground” and allow him and his friend to complete their assignment of exposing the UPND and President Hichilema in the coup against the PF leadership. The police call out is meant to stop the two from exposing President Hichilema and the UPND in the destruction of the PF,” Mr Changala said.
