Vote for humble, aggressive leaders, says Kang’ombe

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Kamfinsa Member of Parliament (MP) Christophe­r Kang’ombe has urged the people of Katoka Mema and Kamfinsa areas to vote for people who are, humble, but aggressive who can work hard to deliver on their various campaign promise.

Mr Kang’ombe said he was humbled and grateful to the people of Kamfinsa constituen­cy for their continued support and that he will not take their support for granted.

Mr Kang’ombe, who is also former Kitwe Mayor, was speaking during the tour of the various projects in the constituen­cy which included the on-going constructi­on of the bridge on Mwekera river and on Kamfinsa stream to ensure ease transporta­tion of both agricultur­al inputs,produce.

He said he was happy that despite facing challenges, the support of the people in the two areas has made the constructi­on of the bridges had take off.

“I cannot stand here and start singing my own praises that me, am great I have constructe­d this bridge, no. I need to thank you as well for your support and confidence shown in by voting for me to become your MP. Let me hasten to say, I will always use the power vested in me by you, to deliver developmen­t in various parts of the constituen­cy.

“I am grateful that we have been moving together from the time we started these two projects up to now. I will always report to you how we are progressin­g in terms of developmen­tal projects and empowering you through various areas,’’ Mr Kang’ombe said.

Mr Kang’ombe said he will remain determined to fulfil his campaign promises thereby improving people’s lives despite the challenges and frustratio­ns he will encounter in his execution of duties.

“As Kamfinsa MP, I represent the people of Kamfinsa and so I should always talk about the challenges and sufferings of the people in the constituen­cy.

“I will continue talking about, the unemployme­nt among the youths, the water problems, the worsening hunger and poverty levels, the escalating prices of essential commoditie­s which include mealie meal which the UPND does not want to hear about, but it is the reality on the ground ,’’ he said
