Vote for leaders who can deliver - Kang'ombe
KAMFINSA Member of Parliament (MP), Christopher Kang'ombe, has encouraged voters to elect people who are humble, while aggressive in delivering on their various campaign promises to foster development.
Mr Kang'ombe, also Patriotic Front (PF) National Youth Chairman, stressed the importance of electing leaders who can deliver on their promises.
He was speaking during the tour of the various parts of the constituency to check on developmental projects.
Among the projects visited were the on-going construction of the bridge on Mwekera river and on Kamfinsa stream to ensure ease transportation of both agricultural inputs, produce and farmers themselves to and from the agricultural areas.
“I am humbled and grateful to the people of Kamfinsa constituency for their continued support and that he will not take their support for granted. I will remain humble to serve their interests in their respective areas,” Mr Kang'ombe said.
He promised to remain determined to fulfil his campaign promises and improving people's lives despite the challenges and frustrations he will encounter in his execution of duties as Kamfinsa MP.
Mr Kang'ombe explained that his decision to aspire for the position of being a lawmaker was not driven by evil intentions but aimed at improving people's lives regardless of their political, tribe and religious affiliations.
“Despite some of his wellmeant motions being rejected in parliament and sometimes being stopped from talking and worst of all being chased from the house because of his desire to represent the people of Kamfinsa, I still remained determined to fulfil my campaign promises,” he said.
Mr Kang'ombe was happy that a number of developmental projects were taking shape in the constituency.
He also said expressed happiness that despite facing challenges, the lawmaker, together with the support of the people in the two areas, the construction of the bridges had taken off.
"I cannot stand here and start singing my own praises that me, am great I have constructed this bridge. Let me hasten to say, I will always use the power vested in me by you, to deliver development in various parts of the constituency.
He said he was happy that projects like the Ndeke Skills Training Centre were taking shape and would soon start benefiting the community through training of youths and various ways.
