We shall pursue law breakers, says Fube
CHILUBI Constituency Member of Parliament Mulenga Fube says the former ruling party will pursue people who have been supporting the criminality of expelled Matero Member Parliament Miles Sampa who held an illegal conference on October 24, 2023.
Mr Fube said governance institutions such as Parliament on moral grounds cannot abrogate the constitution by abetting an illegality.
He said the former ruling party will wait for the court process to be concluded and those involved in defending the illegality will face the wrath of the law because the people cannot sit idle seeing individuals promoting anarchy.
Mr Fube said Zambia is governed by the law and those who abrogate it must be held accountable to deter other would-be offenders.
The lawmaker said time will come for those who feel to be powerful because political power is short lived.
“The people of Zambia should realise that this is not about PF, it is beyond PF, it is for the whole country because we have seen that the behaviour of these people has been extended even to the Electoral Commission of Zambia, where the commission is now banning either Socialist Party, Citizens First or PF from contesting elections.
The people need to wake up, their constitution is being raped. We need to wake up and protect the constitution.
“We are just waiting for the court to determine and after that we shall follow every body who has abrogated the law, whether we don’t have the numbers at some point they need to be answerable. They may feel that they are powerful but
no matter their position we shall revisit them,” he said.
