PF congratulates President Putin over re-election

THE Patriotic Front (PF) has congratulated Russian Federation President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin, for his re-election for the fifth term following the presidential elections which were held from March 15 to 17, 2024.

Given Lubinda, the PF vice president said in his message of congratulations that the re-election of President Putin, who won with a landslide of 87 percent of the vote was a demonstration of the utmost trust and faith the people of Russia had in his leadership and commitment to his country.

Mr Lubinda said the PF therefore, recognises that Zambia and Russia had enjoyed cordial relations, sharing mutual cooperation in the military, economic, educational, social, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, over the years.

“Your re-election with 87 percent of the vote, the highest such percentage in a Presidential election in post-Soviet Russia, demonstrates the utmost trust and faith the people of the Federation have in your leadership and your commitment to the country,” Mr Lubinda said.

“The Patriotic Front Party, therefore, recognises that Zambia and Russia have enjoyed cordial relations and have shared mutual cooperation in the military, economic, educational, social, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres, over the years,” he said. Mr Lubinda said with President Putin’s re-election, PF had faith that the bilateral relations between the two countries would continue to grow based on mutual respect and shared common values.

“We also wish to congratulate the United Russia Party (Vserossiyskaya politicheskaya partiya) for its unwavering support and faith in your candidature and leadership. We also hope to continue to collaborate together at party-to- party level. Kindly accept our assurances of the highest consideration and our congratulations,” Mr Lubinda said.
