Ndola Hospital to get a facelift

NDOLA Teaching Hospital has received a donation of paint from Micmar Investment worth K50, 000 to help improve the interior and exterior.

The hospital which has not received a facelift for over 30 years is currently being renovated with the help from various stakeholde­rs.

Micmar is one of the stakeholde­rs that has been helping the hospital.

Speaking during the donation Ndola District Commission­er (DC) Joseph Phiri said once painted the environmen­t at the hospital will be pleasing and conducive to the healing process of the patients.

"It is great for businesses entities in the community to work hand in hand with the government to provide quality health care services," Mr Phiri said.

Mr Phiri added that even the smallest contributi­on can have an impact on the lives of the people especially those that go to the hospital.

He has since called on other stakeholde­rs to come on board and help the hospital with other needs.

And Micmar Investment Ndola representa­tive Vivek Jetha said the company has always been available to give back to the community through corporate social responsibi­lity.

Mr. Jetha said since 2021 over 2 million has been spent on various projects in the country including improving health care services.

NTH Senior Medical Superinten­dent Justo Banda said Micmar Investment has always been available to help the hospital whenever need be.

He said the bunch of paint that was donated before was used to paint the old building at the hospital adding that the paint will help with other parts that need a facelift.
