Archbishop Milingo’s wife Sung wants Luchards Investments Limited evicted

- By GRACE CHAILE

ARCHBISHOP emeritus Emmanuel Milingo's wife, Maria Sung, has opposed an injunction been sought by Luchards Investments Limited , trading as Chillux Sports Pub, to restrain the couple from evicting the entity from their premises in Chilanga district.

Ms Milingo has argued that Luchards Investments ltd, has no legal agreement with her husband, who is the legitimate owner.

She added that Zambia Helpers Society did not own the premises to rent it out to Luchards Investments.

“Zambia Helpers Society have never been the landlords of the premises in question and that the applicant has no evidence of such an agreement between himself and Zambia Helpers Society nor with the second respondent (Mr Miliong)who is the legitimate owner of the property in question,” she contended.

She argued that Luchards Investments Ltd had not shown any evidence of their sufficient interest in the premises to warrant the granting of the injunction, therefore, the Milingo’s would suffer irreparable damage if the injunction was granted.

In this matter, Luchards Investments is seeking the Lusaka High Court order of interim injunction restraining the three defendants' who include the purported new landlord Mr Eric Fulaza

,from evicting them from a property together with the car wash or from selling any portion of it until final determination of the matter.

Luchards Investments ltd director, Mr Lucky Mulusa pleaded with the Court to grant the company a restraining order alleging that there was a real risk that the defendants may dispose or dissipate the property before the conclusion of this matter.
